Pearl Beach is the southern most point of the Central Coast, in NSW, Australia
It is a National Trust village, surrounded by a national park,
which includes an arboretum and a bird sanctuary.
There are about 400 houses, of which about 100 are permanently occupied.
Its is around 100 kms north of Sydney or an hour by train, with a short bus or taxi ride to follow.
By car, its north of the Hawkesbury on the F3, then take the Kariong Turnoff to Woy Woy
and then follow the signs via Ocean beach Road to Umina and Pearl Beach.
Trains leave Sydney every half an hour for Woy Woy on the Central Coast line.
Pearl Beach is 10 mins in a taxi from Woy Woy.
Umina is 5 minutes away with supermarkets, a fruit market, and major services.
At Pearl Beach there is a general store, a cafe, a tidal pool, a bowling green,
tennis courts, and a restaurant. The beach is safe and suitable for all ages.
Its an ideal place to splend a few days, a week, or even longer.
